Job summary

Roofr is seeking a Senior People Operations Specialist for a 12-month contract. This fully remote role supports Canada and US operations, building onboarding, engagement, performance, benefits, and HRIS processes to scale our growing team.

You’ll partner with senior leaders, manage international employment via Deel, and drive proactive people programs in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in People Operations or HR Coordination in a scaling remote startup.
• Strong communication, empathy, and culture champion.
• Experience as HR Business Partner partnering with managers on employee relations and org changes.
• Creative problem solving and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities with calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• People business partnering to support performance, org design, and workforce planning.
• Employee support and relations across the organization with discretion and empathy.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes and systems.
• Benefits, leave tracking, and broker coordination for US/CA teams.
• Maintain HRIS data, ensure data integrity, and support reporting.
