Job summary

Canada Life in Mississauga is seeking a Pension and Benefits Administrator to support employee inquiries and onboarding for pension and benefits programs. You will handle enrollments, updates and life events, while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in a high-volume environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and experience with pension plans; a focus on service and teamwork with HR colleagues is essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in HR, benefits and/or pensions.
• Experience supporting employees with pension or benefits inquiries, claims issues and/or benefits administration.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to handle high volumes of calls and emails.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience handling sensitive employee data and maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Familiarity with Defined Contribution pension plans and/or ASO healthcare benefits is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Answer employee inquiries on pension and benefit programs.
• Explain programs to employees and provide pension/benefits documents.
• Support onboarding and orientation for new hires.
• Assist with enrollments, updates, beneficiary changes, dependent changes, coverage changes, and life events.
• Assist employees with escalated claims issues or coverage inquiries.
• Liaise with Ford Canadian Headquarters HR staff on pension and benefits programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
