You will process bi-weekly payroll for executive, salaried, and hourly employees, ensuring compliance with payroll and benefit legislation within company procedures.
Location: Based in our Toronto office with a Hybrid work model.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Senior Manager, Payroll and Service Centre.
What you'll do:
- Process full cycle bi-weekly payroll.
- Review executive payroll, including CEO's Canadian and US payroll.
- Lead post-payroll processes, including GL, finance reports, tax remittances, benefits, and pension administration.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll, benefits, time tracking, and absence modules in Workday.
- Provide senior-level payroll expertise, advice, and guidance on complex matters and policy interpretation related to payroll and benefits.
- Lead year-end processing and reporting for T4, T4A, W2, RL1, T2200, EHT, WorkSafe BC, CNESST reconciliation, and other jurisdictional forms.
What you bring:
- University degree.
- PCP – Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Experience with ROE web, payroll compliance, and year-end processing (T4, RL1, Workers' Comp, etc.).
- Some knowledge of GL and finance.
- Payroll reporting skills for employees, management, and finance.
- Knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems.

- Experience in the payment industry.
- Workday system knowledge.
