Job summary

Arnett & Burgess Energy Services is seeking a Senior Payroll Advisor for a 6-month contract based in our Calgary office or Blackfalds head office. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will oversee multi-jurisdictional payroll for salaried, hourly, and contractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Canadian payroll laws.

The role requires 7 years of payroll experience, knowledge of CPP/EI, T4s, T5018s, and payroll systems like Eclipse.

Qualifications

• 7 years of payroll experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll compliance (CPP, EI, income tax, T4s).
• Experience administering group benefits and RRSP programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle multi-jurisdictional payroll for salaried, hourly, and independent contractors.
• Prepare and submit payroll remittances and tax forms (T4s, T2200s, T5018s); perform GL reconciliations.
• Support month, quarter, and year-end reporting and audits; maintain confidential payroll data.
• Lead payroll team including delegation, training, and resource planning.
