Job summary

SE Health is seeking experienced Payroll Specialists to support a high-volume Canadian payroll function across multiple provinces in both unionized and non-unionized environments. This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, compliance, reporting, reconciliations, and employee support while working closely with Finance, HR, and Operations teams.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Canadian payroll expertise and hands‑ on experience working with PeopleSoft Payroll and HRIS

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of Canadian payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing payroll in a multi-provincial environment.
• Strong experience with PeopleSoft Payroll and HRIS.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, taxation, and statutory remittances.
• Experience working in unionized and non-unionized environments preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong reporting capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time for assigned employee groups.
• Review and process hires, terminations, transfers, leaves, earnings, deductions, and retroactive adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and exception reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation, employment standards, and collective agreements.
• Support year-end activities, regulatory reporting, and payroll audits.
• Develop and maintain payroll reports and queries.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams.
• Contribute to payroll process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
