Job summary

Ledcor in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Payroll Administrator to support the payroll team with processing union and non-union payrolls across multiple cycles, reconcile payrolls, and prepare journal entries on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

This 6-month fixed-term contract offers a hybrid work arrangement and exposure to an in-house ERP system, with opportunities to contribute to accurate, timely payroll processing while expanding Canadian payroll knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of full-cycle payroll experience in a complex environment.
• PCP certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of U.S. payroll processes is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn new systems such as Workday and ServiceNow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle hourly and salaried payrolls.
• Reconcile and remit payroll-related payments (WCB, EHT, CRA).
• Coordinate time entry with sites and resolve issues.
• Ensure timely payroll tax payments reporting.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations and journal entries.
• Respond to internal and external payroll inquiries.
• Perform payroll-related clerical work as assigned.
• Process remittances such as CRA, unions and WCB.
