Reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Corporate & Securities. This position will be based in the Calgary corporate office.

What you will do :
  1. Maintain necessary paper and electronic documentation and filings for the subsidiaries of Nutrien Ltd., ensuring each subsidiary (in multiple jurisdictions) is in good standing, including filing annual returns and maintaining minute books.
  2. Draft documentation including resolutions, incorporations, amalgamations, amendments of charter documents, dividend declarations, and intercompany agreements.
  3. Complete Stats Canada questionnaires.
  4. Provide support to ensure Organizational Chart and Director and Officer listings are up to date; assist with corporate secretarial support for various corporate functions and business segments including Corporate Development & Strategy, Treasury, and Tax.
  5. Work closely with supervising counsel, other paralegals, and administrative staff.
  6. Manage the legal billing support system, including user support, vendor support, and system maintenance. Activities include opening matter profiles, ensuring data accuracy, updating records, and timely reporting. Coordinate law firm hiring and onboarding processes. Ensure legal bills are processed accurately and promptly, working with accounting partners to ensure proper coding and tracking. Support legal leadership with financial and matter reporting. Guide admins, paralegals, and attorneys on law firm management. Support securities filings and related matters. Contribute to overall legal team efforts as an operational support resource.
What you will bring :
  • Six or more years of experience in a law firm or within a corporate legal group.
  • Paralegal diploma, university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ALF database.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
