Job description

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Senior Corporate Paralegal based in our Edmonton or Calgary office.

Position Overview:

Working within a team environment, the Corporate Paralegal provides daily support to our Corporate, Commercial, Security Practice Group. Responsibilities include drafting and preparing documents and managing annual work.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Senior-level corporate paralegal experience with solid knowledge of corporate law and procedures.
  • Experience in preparing and drafting corporate documents, including societies and not-for-profit corporations.
  • Results-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and work under pressure independently and in a team.
  • Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience.
  • Minimum CORES Level 3 accreditation; ALF corporate database experience is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drafting documents related to incorporation, amalgamations, amendments, resolutions, and minutes.
  2. Preparing documentation and transactions for corporate matters.
  3. Completing Annual Returns as required.
  4. Responding to inquiries from counsel and clients.
  5. Assisting lawyers and paralegals in transactions.
