Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Associate with expertise in legal research, document review, and contract analysis to support our North American legal team. The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), is licensed to practice law in the Philippines, and has experience with North American legal systems.

As a Senior Legal Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in legal documentation, while providing strategic support to attorneys and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct legal research on North American laws, regulations, and case precedents.
2. Review, proofread, and draft contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure clarity and compliance.
3. Assist in contract negotiation and risk assessment, providing legal insights.
4. Manage case files, due diligence, and compliance checks for various legal matters.
5. Liaise with internal teams and external counsel on regulatory requirements and legal strategies.
6. Support dispute resolution and litigation processes, including drafting legal memoranda and pleadings.
7. Ensure adherence to confidentiality, ethical standards, and best practices in legal documentation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized institution.
• Licensed to practice law in the Philippines and in good standing with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• 5+ years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to North American legal systems.
• Willing to work North American hours to support legal teams in the U.S. and Canada.
• Strong expertise in contract law, corporate law, regulatory compliance, and legal research.
• Exceptional drafting, proofreading, and negotiation skills.
• Experience using legal software, research tools, and case management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
