Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Overhead Transmission Lines Engineer to lead design, estimating, planning, and QA on high-complexity utility projects across Canada. You will direct engineering studies, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence under the T&D Lines Leadership Team.

The role is hybrid (2 days in the office) and can be based anywhere in Canada, with opportunities to work on some of the largest infrastructure initiatives in the energy transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in civil/structural/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer in Canada (P.Eng).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, with field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams for overhead transmission projects (60kV–735kV) in an electric utility environment.
• Prepare and review design documentation, reports, estimates, and test plans.
• Provide signed engineering deliverables as a Professional of Record under provincial regulations.
