Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Overhead Transmission Lines Engineer in Canada. You will lead a design team, directing electrical line projects from feasibility to commissioning, with a focus on safety, quality, and budget adherence.

You will design overhead lines for 60kV to 735kV, prepare documentation, mentor staff, and ensure deliverables meet provincial standards. The role supports hybrid work and a growth trajectory across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 15 years of experience or 10 years as a fully certified engineer.
• Registered member of a Canadian Professional Engineering association, or eligible for registration.
• Proficient with PLS-CADD and CAD; CAD standards familiarity.
• Strong English communication; French is an asset.
• Construction/Field work experience required.
• Integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project design team including junior and intermediate staff.
• Design overhead lines for 60kV to 735kV with towers and hardware.
• Prepare project documentation (reports, specs, estimates, test plans).
• Lead design work packages with scope, schedule and cost.
• Provide signed/sealed engineering deliverables as Professional of Record.
• Offer technical assistance, construction support, and field reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and review designs.
• Develop design criteria with multi-disciplinary inputs.
• Lead structural design and review shop drawings.
• Ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence.
