About our Client

Our Client is a leading provider of chemical and equipment solutions for water treatment applications, specializing in water and wastewater treatment. Their mission is to deliver superior, tailored solutions that not only meet regulatory requirements but also enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in the Greater Vancouver Area. This role is focused on industrial sales of water and wastewater treatment chemicals, including coagulants, flocculants, and boiler and cooling water chemicals.

Salary ranges from 100-150K plus commissions

Key Responsibilities
  • Cold Calling & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and reach out to potential clients in manufacturing, food & beverage, construction, agriculture, remediation, utilities, and municipal sectors.

  • Client Needs Analysis: Conduct detailed assessments to understand clients' water treatment challenges and objectives.

  • Lab Testing & Reporting: Coordinate testing of client samples with our technical team, analyze results, and deliver solution-based reports.

  • Plant Trials: Manage implementation and monitoring of plant trials to validate product effectiveness.

  • Consultative Sales: Provide expert recommendations tailored to client operations; uncover opportunities overlooked by internal staff.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term client relationships; provide excellent post-sales support.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity; adjust strategies to stay competitive.


Qualifications

  • Location: Must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area and be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field—or equivalent work experience in water treatment.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial sales experience, ideally within water treatment or specialty chemicals (e.g., coagulants, flocculants).

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of water and wastewater processes, with experience conducting and interpreting lab data.

  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to cold call, generate leads, and close complex sales. Experience managing a regional territory is a plus.

  • Consultative Approach: Comfortable identifying client needs and delivering tailored solutions in a technical sales environment.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated and capable of working independently.

  • Training: Full product and process training will be provided.
