Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales in the cabinet industry. This position requires an individual with strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to build long-term relationships with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals within the cabinetry market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct in-person sales meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to potential clients, including architects, contractors, and designers.
  • Prepare and submit competitive quotes and proposals to clients, and follow up to secure sales.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals while ensuring company profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide feedback to management to help develop new sales strategies.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and quotas.
  • Provide excellent after-sales support, handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Present our company to potential clients.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products / services.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and management.
  • Report to management on (weekly / monthly / quarterly) sales results.
  • Stay up to date with new products / services and new pricing / payment plans.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, or building materials industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinet doors, cabinetry, or related products is a significant asset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and sales opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Comfortable with travel to client sites, trade shows, and other industry events.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field is an asset.

Compensation

Commission only with minimum wage guaranteed.

Pay : $40,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
