Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Reactor Analysis Engineer to lead design analysis for CANDU reactor systems and components, applying ASME/CSA standards and producing formal technical reports for clients and regulators.

You will perform advanced finite element analyses with ANSYS/LS-DYNA/ABAQUS, mentor teammates, and ensure QA compliance on heavy industrial nuclear projects while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario is preferred.
• Qualified or eligible for ASME Appendix XXIII is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Join team to complete design analysis of CANDU reactor systems, structures and components, including mechanical equipment.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design of nuclear pressure boundary components.
• Prepare formal technical reports suitable for client and regulatory authorities.
• Review design documents, calculations and analysis reports.
• Model complex vessel and equipment arrangements using finite element techniques.
• Prepare engineering computations using ANSYS, LS-DYNA, ABAQUS, MATLAB, MathCAD.
