Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and analysis of CANDU reactor components. You will perform FE analysis, produce technical reports, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a P.Eng in Ontario, 8+ years in nuclear mechanical design, and hands-on experience with ANSYS/APDL, Python or MATLAB. A hybrid work setup is available.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
• 8+ years related experience in design and analysis of complex mechanical systems or equipment.
• Experience with classical stress calculation.
• Experience with ANSYS/APDL.
• Familiarity with ASME Section III and CSA N285.0.

Responsibilities

• Design analysis of CANDU reactor components, systems and structures.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design nuclear pressure boundary components.
• Prepare formal technical reports.
• Review design documents and analysis reports.
• Coordinate with client, suppliers and other disciplines to execute work.
• Provide timely reporting to project managers and engineering leadership.
