Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead the project controls function for its nuclear projects in Ontario, with locations including Chalk River and nearby sites.

You will implement cost and schedule baselines, manage a team, and ensure adherence to Aecon's standards. Reporting to the Project Controls Director, you will develop project controls plans, support commercial and procurement activities, and drive Earned Value management, change management, and performance

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated analytical and adaptive thinking.
• Post‑secondary degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
• PMI or AACE certification preferred.
• Nuclear export controls requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project controls standards & applicable contract documents.
• Establish and maintain integrated project controls systems; set cost & schedule baselines.
• Lead meetings to communicate project performance to the wider team.
• Lead a team of project controls staff (planning, scheduling, cost control, change, risk).
• Support Project Managers in tracking project health and maintaining communication plans.
• Provide input into continuous improvement of Aecon's Project Controls policies.
• Oversee analysis and reporting of key metrics (CPI, SPI, etc.) and propose corrective actions.
• Implement and maintain Earned Value Management and project controls plans.
