Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Manager for the Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) in Ontario. You will lead the project controls function across cost, schedule, and risk, ensuring compliance with Aecon standards and contract requirements.

You will develop management plans, oversee performance reporting, support commercial activities, and guide recruitment and development of project controls staff on mega-projects in the Nuclear sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of EPC contractor or related experience.
• Mega-project and construction field experience is an asset.
• Post-secondary degree in Quantitative, Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• PMI or AACE Certification is an asset.
• Applied knowledge of Earned Value, Project Controls principles and cost management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Primavera P6 and SAP; cost management systems experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for project's compliance to Aecon's Project Controls standards and contract documents.
• Establish and maintain the project's integrated Project Controls systems and baselines.
• Develop a project-specific reporting management plan for the Project Controls Plan.
• Lead meetings to communicate project performance status to the project team.
• Support PMs in tracking health and maintain information flow.
• Provide input into continuous improvement of Project Controls policies.
• Oversee analysis and reporting of key metrics (CPI, SPI, etc.).
• Implement Earned Value Management to measure performance and forecasting.
• Lead project-specific Project Controls and change management plans.
• Support Commercial/Procurement on subcontractor claims and negotiations.
