Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks Senior Civil Engineers for nuclear-related structural and seismic analysis, ageing management, and plant modification projects at existing NPPs and new builds.

Candidates should hold a Civil Engineering degree with 12+ years’ experience in nuclear/industrial facilities, a Ontario P.Eng. license, and eligibility for federal security clearance. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree with 12+ years in nuclear or industrial facilities.
• P.Eng. license recognized in Canada, preferably Ontario, with security clearance eligibility.
• Experience leading design-office and site activities for nuclear projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification, design, and ageing management.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs with calculations and specs.
• Analyze structural systems using industry software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE).
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, QA programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead engineering tasks within budget/schedule and mentor junior staff.
• Perform plant walkdowns and review engineering deliverables for quality.
