Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead nuclear civil engineering projects in Canada. You will perform structural and seismic analyses, develop designs, and manage ageing and plant modification tasks for NPPs and new builds.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in structural analysis and design for nuclear facilities, Ontario P.Eng., and willingness to travel to client sites. Hybrid working culture is offered.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required; Master’s an asset.
• P.Eng. license in Canada preferred, Ontario registration ideal.
• Experience with nuclear power plants or industrial facilities is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification, design, and ageing management for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry systems.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs with calculations and technical specifications.
• Analyze structures using industry software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations and QA programs.
• Lead delivery of engineering tasks within budget and schedule; prepare estimates and design changes.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and review work for quality.
