Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead APQP activities and ensure high-quality NPIs across our Edmonton facilities. You will drive DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, QRD deliverables, and stage-gate compliance while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and plant quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience in direct manufacturing and plant quality.
• Experience with APQP, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.
• Experience with introducing and establishing NPI Quality processes.
• Experience with interacting with customers and acting as their representative.

Responsibilities

• Act as an SME for Quality APQP activities and lead in the implementation of them in NPI projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Plant Quality to develop and implement Quality Requirements Documents, Project Plan & Quality Stage Gate Deliverables, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and FRACAS/ELC.
• Maintain QRD deliverables throughout the stage gate process.
• Champion the implementation of process control plan for NPIs with manufacturing and plant quality teams.
• Monitor and follow up on actions from FMEAs and NPIs to ensure fidelity to the stage-gate process.
• Interact with customers to address needs and provide guidance on quality initiatives.
• Act as the voice of the customer in internal discussions to meet requirements.
• Assist or lead RCAs and 8D problem-solving for warranty/commissioning issues.
• Participate in plant/process improvement workshops or Kaizens as needed.
