Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to architect, deploy, and maintain network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) across multiple customer sites in the Sustainable Infrastructure ICAT team. The role involves on-site work five days a week, mentoring juniors, and driving security and reliability across the network stack.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT, 10+ years’ experience, and CCNP certification; familiarity with HP IMC, Cisco Catalyst Center,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent field.
• At least ten years of relevant work experience in the role.
• Valid CCNP certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement and installation of network equipment across multiple sites.
• Maintain structured cabling across sites.
• Install, configure, and harden network operating systems.
• Configure firewall/IPS policies and ACLs.
• Perform cybersecurity audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Mentor junior admins and train on common tasks.
• Document SOPs and maintain network diagrams and inventories.
