Job summary

GuestTek Interactive Entertainment Ltd. in Calgary seeks a Senior Network & Security Analyst to design, implement, and support enterprise networking, security, and communications infrastructure across multiple sites.

You will lead complex projects, administer Cisco and Palo Alto environments, manage Microsoft 365 and identity services, and coordinate secure remote connectivity and voice platforms, mentoring teammates along the way.

Qualifications

  • Five+ years of progressive enterprise networking experience with hands-on config/troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience with Cisco switching/routing and wireless tech.
  • Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls and secure connectivity.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, QoS, IPsec, SSL VPN, site-to-site tunnels.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage priorities and document changes clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise networks across locations.

Job description

Position Title: Senior Network & Security Analyst

Department: Technical Infrastructure

The Senior Network & Security Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of the organization's network, security, and communications infrastructure. The role acts as a senior technical escalation point and leads work across enterprise networking, firewall security, Microsoft 365, secure remote connectivity, and voice platforms in a multi-site environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Network Infrastructure

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise wired and wireless networks across multiple locations.
  • Administer Cisco switching, routing, and wireless platforms, including VLANs, trunks, routing, spanning tree, QoS, DNS, and DHCP dependencies.
  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, IPsec tunnels, network segmentation, NAT, and secure connectivity with vendors and partners.
  • Monitor availability, performance, and capacity; identify root causes and implement durable corrective actions.
  • Maintain current network diagrams, configuration standards, inventories, backup configurations, and recovery procedures.

Network Security

  • Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT rules, objects, zones, threat-prevention profiles, URL filtering, logging, and VPN services.
  • Review firewall and network changes for security, business impact, testing, rollback, and documentation requirements.
  • Investigate network and security events, coordinate containment and remediation, and contribute to root cause analysis and lessons learned.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, secure configuration baselines, patching, security audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with internal and external security resources to strengthen monitoring, incident response, and access controls.

Microsoft 365 & Infrastructure

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender capabilities.
  • Support identity, authentication, device compliance, endpoint protection, and hybrid infrastructure integrations.
  • Use automation and scripting, where practical, to increase consistency, visibility, and operational efficiency.

Voice & Communications

  • Support Avaya and 3CX telephony environments, including extensions, call routing, SIP services, voicemail, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose voice quality, network path, firewall, and carrier-related issues in coordination with service providers.

Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Lead infrastructure, network, and security projects from planning through implementation and operational handover.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and provide clear technical guidance during service disruptions.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote consistent troubleshooting, documentation, and change practices.
  • Communicate technical risks, options, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Five or more years of progressive enterprise networking experience, including hands-on configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience with Cisco switching, routing, and wireless technologies.
  • Strong experience administering Palo Alto firewalls and secure connectivity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP, QoS, network segmentation, IPsec, SSL VPN, and site-to-site tunnels.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and identity services in a business environment.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Strong incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, change management, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and vendors.

Preferred / Assets:

  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification.
  • Palo Alto Networks PCNSA or PCNSE certification.
  • Experience with Avaya and/or 3CX voice platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender, SIEM/SOC operations, vulnerability management, SD-WAN, PowerShell, or network automation.
  • ITIL or formal project management experience.
  • Experience supporting corporate web platforms, including website hosting, DNS management, SSL certificates, access controls, security, vendor coordination, and ongoing maintenance.
