Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Software Engineer to join the Integration Engineering team. You will design, develop, and support scalable integration platforms that connect enterprise applications, Salesforce, cloud services, and external partners using MuleSoft, Azure, and modern CI/CD practices.

You will mentor engineers, influence integration architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment while delivering cloud-native solutions and ensuring security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-10 years of software engineering experience, including enterprise integration development.
• 4+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience, including CloudHub 1.0 and CloudHub 2.0.
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proficiency in Java and experience building scalable, event-driven, and microservices-based solutions.
• Solid understanding of API security, performance optimization, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and relational databases (SQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and API-led connectivity principles.
• Build and support cloud-native integration services leveraging Azure technologies, including AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Key Vault.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and DevOps best practices to improve delivery efficiency and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize integration performance, reliability, observability, and operational support processes.
• Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor junior team members to foster technical excellence and continuous improvement.
