Qualifications

Join our Manulife Integration Engineering team and help build the next generation of enterprise integration solutions. As a Senior MuleSoft Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and resilient integration platforms that connect enterprise applications, Salesforce, cloud services, and external partners. Leveraging MuleSoft, Azure cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices, you will play a key role in shaping integration architecture, driving automation, and delivering cloud-native solutions across the organization.

This role offers the opportunity to influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and API-led connectivity principles.
• Build and support cloud-native integration services leveraging Azure technologies, including AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Key Vault.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and DevOps best practices to improve delivery efficiency and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize integration performance, reliability, observability, and operational support processes.
• Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor junior team members to foster technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 -10 years of software engineering experience, including enterprise integration development.
• 4+ years of hands‑on MuleSoft development experience, including CloudHub 1.0 and CloudHub 2.0.
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proficiency in Java and experience building scalable, event-driven, and microservices‑based solutions.
• Solid understanding of API security, performance optimization, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and relational databases (SQL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying and managing applications on Microsoft Azure, including Kubernetes‑based platforms and cloud‑native architectures.
• Experience with containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and deployment automation tools such as Flux.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and event‑driven integration architectures.
• Working knowledge of modern application development technologies, including React, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• MuleSoft Developer and/or Architect certifications are considered an asset.

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD
