Job Description: Mortgage Underwriter

Responsibilities:

1. Underwrite A, B, and C mortgage applications, including coordinating the preparation of approval packages with support staff for borrowers to sign.
2. Advise clients on the best mortgage options and negotiate with lenders and borrowers for optimal pricing.
3. Collaborate with lenders, clients, lawyers, appraisers, and support staff.
4. Ensure compliance for all funded deals.
5. Evaluate, analyze, and review each mortgage application to demonstrate strong credit decision-making and sound risk assessments.
6. Coordinate document collection with support staff and evaluate the documentation effectively.

About You:

• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience.
• Ability to perform under pressure, with excellent customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Familiarity with Velocity/Filogix software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Licensed Mortgage Agent Level 2.
