Job summary

Trs Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Expediting Specialist to support a major underground mining project in British Columbia. The hybrid role is based in Vancouver, with remote work options within Canada and travel to project sites as required.

You will lead expediting for critical equipment, monitor vendor progress, coordinate with procurement, engineering, QA/QC and logistics to ensure timely material delivery and project milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and appropriate certifications.
• Minimum 7+ years in expediting, procurement, logistics or materials management.
• Experience supporting large mining, infrastructure or EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong vendor management, schedule tracking and risk mitigation abilities.
• Proficiency with ERP/project systems (SAP/Ariba/Aconex) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead expediting for critical equipment, materials, and supplier docs.
• Monitor vendor performance across engineering, manufacturing, and delivery.
• Track progress against schedules and delivery requirements.
• Identify risks, delays, and supply chain challenges; develop mitigations.
• Coordinate with procurement, vendors, logistics, QA/QC, and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute expediting plans and priorities.
• Review supplier schedules for potential impact on milestones.
• Facilitate resolution of performance issues and constraints.
• Coordinate documentation: submittals, shipping docs, packing lists, releases.
• Support QA/QC to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance.
