Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Mine Water Specialist to join our Canadian Mine Sector team to support client technical mine water management and treatment needs in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Ontario. This client-facing, technical role requires proven expertise across the mining life cycle.

You will advise on investigations, feasibility studies, and design, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with PMs to deliver project outcomes across North American sites.

Qualifications

• MSc in environmental, civil, or chemical/process engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of mine water management and treatment experience.
• P.Eng., P.Geo., or P.Chem. certification required for the province of practice.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills for senior scientists, management, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess mine-site hydrogeology, surface and groundwater management, and geochemistry.
• Plan and implement bench-scale and pilot-scale treatability studies; develop basis-of-design for water management and treatment.
• Contribute to project teams for site investigations to inform water management and treatment planning.
• Prepare technical reports and work plans, and engineering design documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and third-party interests; provide direction to laboratories.
