Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Toronto, Canada, is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and related systems from concept through construction documents.

The role reports to the Preconstruction Manager and MEP Manager and requires strong knowledge of MCA/NECA rates, subcontractor coordination, and value engineering. This is an on-site, regular position in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–7 years of related MEP estimating experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend site walks and pre-bid meetings as necessary for project pursuits.
• Develop win strategies for bid and proposal submissions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with M&E subcontractors for Turner Construction.
• Lead the development of conceptual estimates and bid submissions (MEP).
• Prepare quantity take-offs, estimates and studies for MEP systems from concept to completion.
