Job summary

Turner Construction’s Vancouver office is seeking a full-time MEP Estimator. The role supports on-site and head-office work, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 40 hours per week.

The Estimator reports to the MEP Manager and Preconstruction Manager and focuses on Mechanical/Plumbing/Fire Protection/Electrical/Technology/LV trades. You will prepare detailed estimates from design documents and collaborate with subcontractors, designers, and project teams to ensure competitive bids while maintaining

Qualifications

• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP estimates from design documents, narratives and specs.
• Develop bid strategies and estimates for GMP, lump sum, and design-build bids.
• Lead relationship building with local MEP subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve constructability issues.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost analyses for MEP systems from concept through design development.
• Assist in evaluate large change orders and risk assessment for projects.
