Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. in Canada is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead a design team through contract document production and contract administration on ongoing construction projects.

Qualifications

• Six years' experience designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional and/or industrial buildings.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registered with provincial licensing bodies PEO and OACETT preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and lead diverse project teams with a strong track record of project delivery from both a technical and financial perspective.
• Established strong leadership, client service and project management skills.
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of the provincial building code, ASHRAE, CSA and NFPA standards.
• Familiarity with Revit.
• MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team through day-to-day activities for producing contract documents and contract administration.
• Interface with contractor(s) and architectural teams; review shop drawings; conduct site reviews; review RFIs; create CCNs.
• Perform field reviews of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, medical gas systems and fire protection systems including sprinkler and standpipe systems.
