Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead building mechanical and electrical systems projects in Montreal, Laval or Ottawa with a hybrid work arrangement. You will manage planning to commissioning, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, oversee HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and building automation, and manage budgets and schedules.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, OIQ, 8+ years’ experience, fluent in French and English; PMP and BIM experience are

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• OIQ membership in good standing is required.
• 8+ years of experience in building mechanical engineering.
• PMP certification and BIM experience are assets.

We’re Hiring! Senior Project Manager – Building Mechanical & Electrical Systems

Location: Montreal, Laval, or Ottawa | Hybrid

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in building mechanical systems? Are you passionate about major infrastructure projects and contributing to Quebec’s energy transition?

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead exciting engineering projects supporting Hydro-Québec’s infrastructure modernization and energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering projects from planning through commissioning.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Oversee the design of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and building automation systems.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and risks.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Support business development and mentor engineering team members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• 8+ years of experience in building mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Fluency in French with the ability to work in English.
• Experience with Hydro-Québec, energy infrastructure, or industrial projects is an asset.
• PMP certification and BIM experience are considered assets.
