Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Québec City is seeking a Project Manager for Building Mechanical Engineering to deliver complex mechanical projects, manage budgets, and act as the primary client contact. You will lead a collaborative team to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery across varying project sizes.

You bring a Mechanical Engineering degree, a Quebec-licensed professional engineer designation, and at least 7 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Experience in the consulting engineering industry is an asset.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French; English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and validate client needs and ensure client satisfaction.
• Prepare service proposals for building mechanical engineering projects.
• Define project scope and fee budgets.
• Develop project plans to achieve cost, schedule and quality objectives.
• Coordinate project resources and communicate project objectives.
• Ensure compliance and quality of deliverables and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technologists.
• Oversee invoicing and client relationship management.
