Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer in Kimberley, BC to lead diverse projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget and resources in a hybrid work model to deliver complex mechanical systems for regional infrastructure.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of experience (including 3+ years in project leadership), strong leadership and communication skills, and PMP certification or equivalent PM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience with at least 3 years in a project management or team lead role.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from initiation to closure, on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Provide technical direction for mechanical design, analysis, and implementation phases.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.

You will oversee project execution from conception through completion, ensuring successful delivery of complex mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from initiation to closure, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

Requirements
