Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee major infrastructure projects in Kimberley, Canada. You will guide cross-functional teams from conception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years in infrastructure project management, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of safety and environmental regulations.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure development projects in Kimberley . This role demands a strategic leader capable of managing large-scale projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating diverse teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and navigating regulatory requirements to deliver essential infrastructure that benefits the Northern Cape region. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of major infrastructure development projects, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and handover.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee site operations, manage contractors and subcontractors, and ensure quality control throughout the project.
  • Liaise effectively with government agencies, community stakeholders, and private entities.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and provide comprehensive status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure project management , with a strong focus on large-scale civil or public works projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with significant budgets and multiple stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project management software.
  • Strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations relevant to infrastructure development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Structural), Construction Management, or a related discipline.
