TRI Innovations in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering from concept through start-up, owning the scope and delivering compliant designs for diverse industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of EPC experience, P.Eng. registration, and a strong background in equipment selection, vendor management, and cross-disciplinary coordination within oil & gas, midstream, and related sectors. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with professional registration (P.Eng.) in Alberta is required.
• 8–10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, with strong EPC background.
• Experience leading mechanical equipment selection, procurement, bid evaluations and vendor engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, CSA, NFPA, ABSA and client/project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities from concept through start-up, owning mechanical scope and ensuring deliverables meet requirements.
• Direct equipment selection and specifications, and manage vendor communications and documentation.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and other disciplines to resolve issues.
• Oversee HVAC design requirements for industrial facilities and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project teams with scheduling and risk management.
