Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is expanding its Western Canadian Engineering group in Vancouver and is seeking a Mechanical Designer to lead and deliver mechanical and multidisciplinary projects. The role emphasizes leadership, proposal writing, client engagement, and solid project management governance across Healthcare, Transportation, and Industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with the local provincial engineering association.
• PMP or CAPM designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical and multi-disciplinary project deliverables within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Lead and support business development activities including proposal writing and client relationship building.
• Develop and maintain processes to support strong project management governance.
• Oversee projects, mentor team members, and collaborate with other disciplines to communicate status, issues, and solutions.
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office to prepare deliverables as required.
