The Role

In this senior role, you will be responsible for the design and execution of projects, focusing on government and institutional work. A P.Eng designation and RCMP clearance are required. Responsibilities include design, technical work, project management, site visits, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design for institutional and government projects
• Coordinate mechanical engineering drawings and specifications
• Maintain strong client relationships
• Conduct peer reviews of calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare technical specifications and documents
• Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
• Site visits and client coordination
• Project management tasks
• Collaborate with project teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in building projects
• Licensed Engineer in BC or AB
• RCMP Security Clearance
• PSPC Reliability clearance
• Strong engineering judgment and problem-solving skills
• Thorough understanding of mechanical concepts and codes
• Knowledge of BIM and Revit is an asset
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to travel between Alberta and BC as needed
