Our Client

An opportunity exists for a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to work remotely from British Columbia for a leading consulting engineering firm. This well-established firm in Western Canada has a strong portfolio of work. The role involves site visits across BC 1-2 times per week, with occasional travel to Alberta.

Position Details

• Location: British Columbia - Remote with site visits
• Salary: $100k+ depending on experience
• Field: Buildings Engineering

Role Responsibilities

Design and execute projects focusing on government and institutional work. Responsibilities include:

• Mechanical design for institutional and government projects
• Coordinate mechanical drawings and specifications
• Maintain client relationships and oversee project execution
• Peer reviews of calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare technical bidding and construction documents
• Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
• Conduct site visits and client coordination
• Manage project tasks and timelines

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years in Mechanical Engineering; 5+ years in building projects
• Licensed Engineer in BC or AB
• RCMP Security Clearance and PSBC Reliability clearance
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards
• Experience with BIM and Revit is an asset
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
