Job summary

BC Hydro is seeking an experienced Engineering Division Manager to lead the Generation Stations Mechanical Engineering Division. You will provide strategic leadership, technical direction, and expert advice on mechanical engineering matters for BC Hydro’s hydro assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years progressive engineering experience.
• Experience leading hydroelectric station upgrades and refurbishments.
• Proven ability to deliver complex capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads Generation Stations Mechanical Engineering Division across five teams.
• Provides strategic direction and technical guidance to senior management.
• Oversees external consultants for capital and maintenance projects.
• Ensures safety culture, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Manages budgets, resource planning, and performance expectations.
• Builds relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal groups.
• Represents engineering programs with senior leadership and stakeholders.
