Position Overview

The Senior Marketing Event Specialist plays a lead role in planning, executing, and optimizing Compugen’s events and trade shows portfolio. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Events, this role provides advanced, hands on leadership across the full event lifecycle — from strategic planning, budgeting, vendor negotiation, and cross-functional alignment to onsite execution and post event analysis. This individual manages complex, high-visibility events, mentors junior team members, drives process improvements, and serves as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders. The Senior Specialist ensures all events reinforce Compugen’s brand standards and deliver exceptional experiences for customers, prospects, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and measurement of mid‑to‑large‑scale events, trade shows, conferences, and partner activations.
  • Develop strategic event plans aligned with marketing and business goals, and effectively lead meetings, guiding audiences to achieve event objectives.
  • Manage 10–12 complex events at various stages concurrently, maintaining organization, composure, and a solutions‑focused approach.
  • Build comprehensive project plans, detailed budgets, run sheets, and logistical frameworks for multi‑track or multi‑day programs.
  • Oversee event registration, communications, A/V planning, venue coordination, catering, rooming lists, event technology, speaker and content management, and attendee experience.
  • Work closely with sales + broader marketing team to align event content, branding, messaging, and digital support.
  • Serve as the primary lead onsite, directing and communicating with staff, vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Makes independent decisions within approved budgets and event frameworks.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the success of the event team through sharing expertise and proposing solutions through complex scenarios, process improvements, templates, playbooks, and operational workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in event coordination, training and/or marketing operations, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Experience with marketing tools such as ClickUp, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, event registration platforms, email marketing tools, and databases (asset).
  • Ability to develop event budgets, track expenses, and forecast financial projections.
  • Experience with site selection processes, vendor evaluation and contract negotiation.
  • Strong critical path and project management skills, including accurate task tracking and maintenance of records in project management tools.
  • Exceptional administrative discipline with organized, traceable, and up to date files in shared repositories.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and uphold processes, timelines and budgets, while delivering high quality execution under tight timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross functional alignment, deliverable coordination, and consistent stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong customer service skill and ability to work well with various constituencies including staff, as well as exhibitors and vendors.
  • A team first, collaborative approach that embraces feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (office, virtual, onsite event support).
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement in event strategy, execution, and collaboration, with the ability to guide others toward higher performance.
What Compugen Offers You
  • Exciting, fast‑paced challenging work environment.
  • A culture where authenticity and diversity are valued.
  • Professional development.
  • Participation in Women in Technology Network.
  • Opportunities to give back to our local communities.
  • Collaborative supportive team members.
  • Remote work/hybrid work options.
  • Work/life flexibility.
