Job summary

Robertson & Company Ltd. is seeking a Manager, Global Event to join our client in Toronto, supporting a major vacancy.

The role is hybrid, 18 months, with responsibilities spanning end-to-end event production, cross-functional coordination, and executive stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate has a university degree and 8–10 years of marketing and corporate events experience, proven ability to manage complex budgets, and a strong portfolio of live event production.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of marketing experience required.
  • Strong experience managing global corporate events.
  • Advanced knowledge of end-to-end event production and project processes.
  • Experience with show calling, stage management and event operations for hybrid/virtual/in-person audiences.
  • Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Comfort working with C-level executives and managing disruptions during events.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business objectives into event experiences.
  • Coordinate and lead project teams to meet timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and socialize technical run-of-show documents and production schedules.
  • Act as liaison between IT, AV, and production vendors to ensure flawless execution.
  • Collaborate with Brand to ensure branding across all events.
  • Manage program budgets and vendor contracts.

Robertson is seeking a skilled Manager, Global Event to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period

18 months with potential to extend or convert

Pay Rate

Starting form $48 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Translating business objectives and priorities into moments for experiences
  • Be the connective tissue between event content, creative, graphics, technology and logistics
  • Bringing these workstreams together and with an understanding and a vision for how it all comes to life on stage
  • Coordinate and lead project team meetings to ensure scheduling, operational and production timelines and deliverables are met through the event project lifecycles
  • Build, manage and socialise technical run-of-show documents and production schedules
  • Be the glue between IT and AV teams to ensure to ensure execution excellence
  • Source and manage partnerships with external vendors and ensure that services are delivered in line with the statement of work and budget
  • Collaborate with Brand colleagues to ensure appropriate branding is represented at all events and incorporated into all experiences
  • Manage and reconcile program budgets
Experience & Qualification Requirements
  • University degree required
  • 8 – 10 years of marketing experience required
  • Have strong experience managing global corporate events (either from a corporate or agency perspective)
  • Production with an incredibly strong portfolio of delivered work in live events
  • Have advanced knowledge of end-to-end event production and project processes
  • Have experience in show calling, stage management and event operations for hybrid, virtual and in-person corporate audiences
  • You have the ability to pick up cues and connect the dots to anticipate and trouble shoot
  • You love process
  • You can hit the ground running, thrive in a high paced environment (office & onsite) and love to multi-task
  • Have a high degree of emotional intelligence, be able to adapt quickly to change and a capacity to stay calm under pressure in fast-paced environment
