Job summary

Clearview Co-op in Steinbach is seeking a Senior Manager, Petroleum & Agro Operations to lead the Petroleum and Agronomy divisions from the Administration Office. You will set strategic objectives, manage budgets, and drive sales and margin growth across gas, fuels, and agri-products.

You will develop staffing plans, mentor teams, oversee pricing, monitor financials, and partner with senior leaders to deliver sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in B2B sales.
• 5+ years leading technical or professional staff.
• Experience in bulk petroleum and agronomy is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Petroleum and Agro divisions with accountability for sales, margin, expenses and inventory.
• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with the Co-op’s mission.
• Set strategic plans and annual objectives with the senior leadership team.
• Provide leadership, training and performance management for direct reports.
• Oversee pricing, budgeting and financial performance across divisions.
• Develop capital project plans and monitor monthly income statements.

The Opportunity:

Clearview Co-op is hiring a Senior Manager, Petroleum & Agro Operations to work at our Administration Office located in Steinbach.

What You Would Do:

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and leading the Petroleum and Ag divisions, you will achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support the Co-op’s mission and vision. Your key responsibilities include:

• Assist the senior leadership team in establishing the organizations’ strategic plans and annual objectives.
• Provide leadership to the Agro Center team, bulk petroleum delivery team, and the bulk petroleum sales teams.
• Promote sustainability into the future and allow for continued growth.
• Oversee commercial and agro fuel pricing.
• Ensure effective training in the areas of customer service and related job duties, policies, procedures, and culture.
• Responsible for overall development, performance management and recruiting of direct reports; this includes evaluating performance and taking corrective measures.
• Provide feedback to direct reports as required through training, coaching, or providing corrective measures to meet objectives.
• Responsible for developing an annual staff training plan including self-development to improve the team’s knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
• Responsible for petroleum and agronomic divisions budget preparation.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
• Review monthly income statements to ensure expense control and establish goals.
• Develop and present plans for capital projects including land and buildings, equipment, and potential acquisitions.

• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in B2B sales, including 5 years of experience leading technical or professional staff.
• Experience in bulk petroleum and agronomy considered an asset
• Experience overseeing and monitoring client satisfaction levels.
• Ability to maximize operational efficiency through controlling costs and increasing sales and margin.
• Degree in related field preferred.
