Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban, Community, or Regional Planning.
• CRP (RPP) with Planning Institute of BC or equivalent.
• 7–10+ years progressive planning experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience leading major planning initiatives and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and implementation of the Official Community Plan.
• Oversee zoning, development permit areas and land-use frameworks.
• Translate long-term vision into integrated planning strategies.
• Ensure alignment with infrastructure, housing, economy, and environment.
• Supervise planning staff and external consultants.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Community/Regional Planning

Certified Registered Professional Planner (RPP)

7–10+ years progressive planning experience

2+ years supervisory experience

Experience leading major planning initiatives

Budget and consultant contract management
