Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation is hiring a Manager, Application Support to oversee the reliability and maintenance of key business applications. You will lead a team, manage incidents, and partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve performance and user experience.

The role requires a strong background in application support, governance, and budget management, with a focus on service excellence and compliance. In-office work from the Calgary head office is expected.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Computing Science or related Engineering field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience.
• Business analysis experience including eliciting and documenting requirements.
• Knowledge of application systems analysis, architecture, design, and development.
• Experience supporting application systems with best practices.
• Collaborative leader with mentoring and coaching abilities.
• Track record of delivering high-quality work and managing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations for application support including incident, problem, request and change management.
• Establish and monitor SLAs and KPIs; lead major incident responses and post-incident reviews.
• Manage third-party support engagements and vendor performance.
• Oversee application support budget and cost-optimization opportunities.
• Prepare monthly service performance reports and communicate with stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and self-service initiatives.
• Lead transition-to-support activities for new applications entering operations.
• Develop and mentor the application support team and plan on-call coverage.
• Coordinate upgrades, patching and change management with security and controls.
