Weir Motion Metrics in Vancouver, BC seeks a Senior Machine Learning Developer to shape production-ready AI for safer, smarter mining operations. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to take ideas from research to deployment, delivering measurable improvements across edge, embedded, cloud and vision systems.

The role emphasizes mentorship, strong Python expertise, and hands-on work with TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenCV to deliver scalable ML solutions in a global mining technology

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of machine learning development experience.
• Academic publications and an active presence in the AI research community are strong assets.
• Strong collaboration skills across AI, cloud, edge, software and broader R&D teams.
• Proficiency in Python programming and AI model prototyping using TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenCV.
• Experience developing production-ready ML solutions.
• Experience from ideation through deployment and monitoring.
