Job summary

Verve Senior Living is seeking a Health and Wellness Manager to oversee the health and wellness of residents under the General Manager. The role requires an active nursing license (RPN/LPN) and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Holds a nursing license (RPN/LPN) and is in good standing.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and team development abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Preference for 2+ years' experience with seniors; dementia care training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) program.
• Completes pre-move-in and ongoing health and wellness assessments and coordinates with departments and families.
• Maintains resident files with proper documentation and safe medication practices.
• Organizes care plans to promote resident independence in line with RHRA regulations.
• Updates care plans every 6 months or as required.
• Leads recruitment, interviews, and staff scheduling; conducts performance reviews.
• Oversees budgeting, inventory, and procurement for the department.
• Ensures safety and coordination of care transitions across residences when needed.
• Provides staff education on infection prevention and provincial guidelines.
• Builds relationships with residents, families, hospitals, and other stakeholders.
