Verve Senior Living in Newmarket, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our compassionate care team. Your role will be to lead resident care under the Health & Wellness Manager, ensuring safe, respectful, and person-centred support for seniors while promoting independence.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary staff, administer medications, document care plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of grade 12 education required.
• Registered Practical Nurse license in good standing (CNO).
• Emergency First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required.
• Previous experience as an RPN is an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Team player with leadership qualities and positive attitude.
• Proficient computer skills (Word and Excel).

Aufgaben

• Participates in continuous quality improvement standards.
• Assess residents’ needs and organize plan of care to promote independence.
• Update residents’ care plans every 6 months or as required.
• Distribute medications and provide treatments per standards.
• Supervise attendants and provide job guidance.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and incident reports.
• Maintain infection control and safe work practices.
• Collaborate with team to support residents’ rights and wellbeing.
