Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Ottawa seeks an Associate Health & Wellness Manager to lead the nursing team on the floor and assist in staff management. You will supervise daily operations, participate in care conferences, and support residents and families with care planning and issue resolution.

The role requires an RN/RPN/LPn registration with 3+ years in a retirement setting, strong clinical knowledge, and compliance with relevant laws.

Qualifications

Currently registered as a Registered Practical Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Minimum of three (3) years relevant clinical experience, preferably in a retirement residence.
Up to date knowledge of regulations, acts, program standards, and provincial legislation.
Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check within the last six months or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Supervise and guide daily operations of the nursing department.
Participate in Care Conferences and engage with residents and families.
Recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating clinical staff.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and work practices.
Adhere to provincial and federal acts and regulations (e.g., Health Disciplines Act, Human Rights Code).
