Job summary

Optima Living in Calgary is seeking an experienced Hospitality Manager to lead dining room and housekeeping operations for residents. You will oversee service delivery to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, and guide team members to uphold high standards of care and resident satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and collaboration with culinary and facilities teams to implement person-centered service and continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year leadership experience in a residential care or mental health environment.
• Active Food Safe certification is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification are assets.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to dining room and housekeeping teams.
• Coordinate workflows and monitor service delivery to ensure safety and comfort for residents.
• Lead team meetings and participate in committees as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Develop dining and housekeeping goals and monitor outcomes.
• Collaborate with culinary team on diets and resident feedback.
• Monitor food quality, portion control and service timing.
• Manage inventory and equipment maintenance with vendors and maintenance teams.
• Respond to incidents and quality audits with corrective actions.
