Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Canada is seeking a Culinary Manager to lead our culinary and dining department across retirement residences. You will recruit, train, and supervise a skilled team, design diverse menus with premium ingredients, and ensure exceptional service and presentation while controlling costs.

Work with Executive Director and Regional Directors to translate culinary visions into actionable plans, drive resident satisfaction, and strive for Best In Class dining.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification is an asset.
• Several years of experience as a professional chef in kitchen operations.
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience in a culinary setting.
• Post-secondary education in culinary management or related field.
• Food Safety/Food Handler's Certification.
• Smart Serve Certification or provincial equivalent.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, inventory management.
• Experience in retirement living is an asset.
• Vulnerable Sector Check current or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead culinary and dining department to deliver high-quality dining experiences.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of culinary and service professionals.
• Collaborate with Executive Director, National Director and Regional Managers to translate culinary visions into action plans.
• Oversee financials and drive cost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Prioritize resident satisfaction and service excellence.
